FANFARE - the Skaneateles Festival Cookbook |

"Sometimes we musicians joke that we just come back for the food. We've got to be the best-fed festival orchestra." - Michelle LaCourse, violist The Feast and the Festival... From the beginning, local families have provided lodging and meals for the Skaneateles Festival's visiting musicians and their families - a unique pleasure for the performers and for those who prepare and share the feasts. This tradition, begun out of necessity, is today a hallmark of the Skaneateles Festival experience. This cookbook contains recipes enjoyed over the years. Some come from the musicians themselves, some from local chefs, some from the families who have opened their homes to the musicians year after year. Still others are favorites of our staff, volunteers and fans. FANFARE is also available for purchase at: Creekside Books & Coffee, 35 Fennell Street, Skaneateles and Rhubard Kitchen & Garden, 59 East Genesee Street, Skaneateles |
